Biography

Hossein Naghavi is an assistant professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington. He recently received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, focusing on terahertz integrated circuits. He received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology and the University of Tehran, Iran, respectively. From 2016 to 2018, he was with the Radiation Lab at the University of Michigan as a research scholar, where he contributed to the development of the first fully integrated terahertz inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging system. Also, from 2012 to 2016, he worked at the Antenna Type Approval Laboratory at the University of Tehran, where he implemented several antenna and radio frequency measurement setups based on IEEE, FCC, and ETSI standards. His research focuses on the mm-wave and terahertz integrated circuit design, especially for imaging, spectroscopy, metrology, and communication applications.
