ECE Tutoring

ECE Tutoring

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering offers tutoring for a selection of EE undergraduate classes. Tutoring is offered on a drop-in basis from the second week of the quarter through the last week of instruction. Tutoring is not offered during final exam week. All tutoring is held in person in the ECE building, primarily in rooms 303 and 431, and occasionally in the 2nd floor atrium (refer to calendar for exact location).

How Does ECE Tutoring Work?

What can I expect when attending ECE Tutoring?

You will be asked to sign in on an attendance sheet with your 1) name, 2) student ID number, 3) classes you are attending tutoring for and 4) time you signed in.

The ECE Tutor(s) will come around and help students, prioritizing students based upon when they arrived to tutoring.

If there are a lot of students attending tutoring, the ECE Tutor(s) may have less time to spend with each student. However, you are encouraged to work with other students who are attending tutoring. You may end up finding a study buddy!

What are the qualifications of the ECE Tutors?

ECE Tutors are current undergraduate students within the department. The classes they can support are all classes they have personally taken and earned at least a 3.5 grade in. While our ECE Tutors have taken and excelled in these classes, this does not mean they are an expert on every class concept.

What can an ECE Tutor help me with?

ECE Tutors can help you prepare for exams, provide support on homework and answer questions about class concepts. ECE Tutors cannot solve your homework problems for you or engage in anything that would be considered academic misconduct.
