Bio

Ang Li is currently a senior computer scientist in the Physical and Computational Sciences Directorate, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). He received B.E. from the Computer Science (CS) department of Zhejiang University in 2010, and two Ph.D. degrees from the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department of National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, and the Electrical Engineering (EE) department of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He joined PNNL as a Postdoc in 2016 and became a staff scientist in 2018. His research interests are in the area of software-hardware codesign for heterogeneous high-performance computing (HPC), quantum computing, and computer architecture. He has published in major HPC and computer architecture conferences and journals including ISCA, MICRO, ASPLOS, HPCA, SC, ICS, PPoPP, IPDPS, HPDC, ICPP, CGO, TPDS, TC, etc. His leading-author work has been nominated for best paper award in SC’15, SC’17, IIWC’18, and SC’20 and best student paper award in SC-15. His co-authored paper has been awarded for best paper award in ICCD’21 and Cluster’22 and nominated for best paper award in ISCA’22. He received the European HiPEAC paper award in 2017. He served as organizing committee or review committee member for major HPC conferences including SC, PPoPP, ASPLOS, PACT, ISCA, MICRO, HPCA, IPDPS, etc.
