Bio
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2017; and B.E. (First Class Hons) and M.E. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2011 and 2014, respectively.
Currently working as a Senior Data Scientist for Utopus Insights, Valhalla, New York. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Washington from August 2017 to October 2021. During this time, he also worked as the Lead Staff Scientist in the Systems Integration Testbed at Washington Clean Energy Testbeds. He has also worked with the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
Dr. Keerthisinghe holds a U.S. patent and has published peer review articles in microgrids, energy management in smart homes, wireless power transfer, disaster response, electricity markets, stochastic optimization, and machine learning.
