Jai Jaisimha

Bio

Jai is a Seattle-based technology entrepreneur with expertise in product development, AI and data science. Jai first came to Seattle to obtain his Ph.D. in the field of AI/Computer Vision/Information Retrieval and graduated with his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering (under the advisory supervision of Prof. Eve Riskin) from the University of Washington in 1996. Jai has founded or held leadership roles at four start-ups that leveraged AI/Machine Learning to build software applications that benefit both business and consumer users. Jai was CTO at Hitch Works, Inc. – Hitch leveraged AI/Large Language Models (LLMs) to help employees and their employers take a skills-based approach to work and career progression. Hitch was acquired by Service Now in 2022. Jai was also CEO and Founder at Appnique which developed Advertising Technology solutions using AI/Natural Language Processing (NLP)/LLMs that assisted marketers in allocating marketing spend to audiences with the highest propensity to purchase. Jai was also a key member of the executive team at mobile search pioneer, Medio Systems. Medio was acquired by Nokia in 2014. Jai has also held leadership roles at technology leaders – Microsoft, Amazon, AOL and RealNetworks. At Microsoft, AOL and RealNetworks, Jai led pioneering initiatives in the digital distribution of music and video content. In March 2023, Jai left his most recent product leadership role at Amazon. Jai currently focuses on partnering with start-up founders and other organizations on how they can best navigate and leverage the AI and Artificial Generative Intelligence spaces.
