Yasmin Karimli ( BSEE 1993, MSEE 1995) and Jun Liu ( MSEE 1999, Ph.D 2003) have co-authored a new book,HSPA Performance and Evolution: A practical perspective, just published by John Wiley and Sons.
After graduating from UWEE, Yasmin entered the telecommunications industry and is currently the Head of RAN Evolution and Strategy Team at T-Mobile in Bellevue WA. She has remained close to the Department, by being “proud employer of some UW EE’s most talented interns.”
After getting his MSEE, Jun started working in the wireless industry. He pursued his Ph.D. as a part-time student and graduated in 2003. He is a Principal Engineer on T-Mobile USA’s RAN Evolution and Strategy Team and has been the mentor to several UW EE interns.
