We have developed novel strategies for exploiting multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) channels for wireless power transfer (WPT). Through the use of backscatter channel measurement, the channel state information for each mobile device can be rapidly acquired at minimal energy cost. We have demonstrated selective WPT enhancement of ~10X and selective WPT denial of greater than 100X in practical indoor environments.
