A paper submitted by UWEE graduate student (and Microsoft Research consultant) Gabe Cohn has been named “Best Paper” at the 14th International Conference on Ubiquitous Computing in Pittsburgh. The award was given to his paper “ An Ultra-Low-Power Human Body Motion Sensor Using Static Electric Field Sensing“.
Gabe is advised by Professor Shwetak Patel, who was also an author on this paper. Other authors include Sidhant Gupta, Tien-Jui Lee, Dan Morris, UWEE Professor Josh Smith, Matt Reynolds, and Desney S. Tan.
