Hochberg wins 2009 PECASE

May 7, 2009

michael_hochbergAssistant Professor Michael Hochberg has been named a recipient of a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) for 2009. He was one of only four winners at the University of Washington, with 100 awards being made nationwide.

A PECASE award is the highest honor bestowed by the United States government on young professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers. These awards reflect the high priority our government places on producing outstanding scientists and engineers to advance the nation’s goals and contribute to all sectors of the economy. Award recipients will be honored at a White House ceremony this fall.

More information can be found in the official White House press release and in this University Week article.

Congratulations Michael!
