EE graduate student Jessica J. Tran has received the kynamatrix Research Network “Innovation through Collaboration” 2014 Grant Award. Jessica’s project was one of six selected to receive a $1000 grant. The award was given to students with Masters- or Doctoral-level collaborative projects that study interactive communication within the academic disciplines of design, engineering, and computer science. Her project is titled, “Human-centered approach optimizing the lower limits of intelligible mobile sign language video communication.” Jessica is advised by Professor Eve A. Riskin (EE), Professor Richard E. Ladner, and Associate Professor Jacob O. Wobbrock (iSchool).
