Fazel Receives NSF 2009 CAREER Award
Assistant Professor Maryam Fazel has received a 2009 CAREER award from the National Science Foundation for her proposal titled “Parsimonious Modeling via Matrix Rank Minimization.” This project focuses on developing mathematical tools and algorithms for finding low-complexity or parsimonious models that explain observed data in a variety of engineering applications, using convex optimization methods.
