Raven Part of Unimate 50th Anniversary Celebration

raven_50The Raven surgical robot, developed in UWEE’s Biorobotics Lab, was recognized by the IEEE’s International conference on Robotics and Systems (IROS) in San Francisco last month. The conference logo lists Raven among the famous robots celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first real robot Unimate which was invented by George Devol and Joseph Engleberger in 1961. (see upper left corner of the 50).
