The annual Engineering Career Fair was held Tuesday, October 30 and Wednesday, October 31 at the HUB.
Approximately 150 employers were on hand to discuss permanent career position possibilities as well as internship/co-op opportunities. If you’re planning to graduate this year, or if you’re looking for an internship/co-op for coming quarters, this is one of your best chances to start interacting with employers. Even if you aren’t looking for positions right now, the fair is a great opportunity to see who’s hiring and what they’re looking for in new employees.
The Engineering Career Fair Web site (http://students.washington.edu/sbe/careerfair) has a searchable database with information on all the employers attending. In addition, the site has tips on how to prepare for a career fair, resume suggestions, etc. Also, take advantage of the Center for Career Services walk-in times for resume critiques and related workshops (see http://depts.washington.edu/careers/).
