Early Career Awards
- All nine of the Assistant Professors hired from July 1998-June 2001 have received the NSF Early Career Development Award. A total of ten Electrical Engineering Faculty have received the NSF Early Career Development Award (Azizoglu, Bilmes, Bohringer, Hauck, Jandhyala, H. Liu, Mamishev, Poovendran, Shi, Wilson)
- Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) (Meldrum)

- Four have received NSF Research Initiation Grants (Azizoglu, Chizeck, Dunham, Riskin)

- Two have been named an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow (Hauck, Riskin)
